Fourth of July Pinspiration

Ok Dolls tomorrow is the 4th of July so I thought I would give you a little pinspiration and a couple of my FAVE recipes.

 Watermelon and Feta Salad

Ingredients

• 6 cups cubed or melon balled watermelon
• 3/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
• 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
• 1/2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Toss everything together in a large serving bowl carefully to avoid breaking up the feta too much.

Peach Mango Pineapple Sangria

Peach Mango White Sangria

Double, triple, or quadruple the recipe if making for a larger gathering or crowd

1 bottle white wine (chardonnay, pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, or similar)

1/3 cup peach schnapps

1/4 cup sugar, or to taste (or stevia, agave, or another sweetener)

3/4 cup mango chunks, frozen (you could use fresh but save money and buy frozen, plus they act as “ice cubes”)

3/4 cup fresh sliced peaches

3/4 cup pineapple chunks

1/3 cup pineapple juice (use whatever is in the can)

Mix all ingredients together and chill the night before so the flavors can marry and the fruit can soak up the wine

I just served this at a party in California and it was a big hit!!

C Wonder-ful

While I was in California last week I came across the store
C Wonder. We don't have this in Arizona yet so I was very curious to take a peek inside and see if it lived up to the hype. The interior was crisp and colorful and had a very happy vibe. On staff that day were 2 cute young girls that were very nice and helpful. I skimmed throughout the clothes and made my way to the home section. Although I have been on their website I was leery as to the quality of the items but was pleasantly surprised. The dinnerware was very nice and would make any tablescape proud, the pillow collection was diverse with pattern and color and had a little something for every type of decor, there were also cute trinket dishes, place mats, napkins etc. All in all I enjoyed the store and even made a purchase of some pillows (big surprise). C Wonder  may not carry all your home decor needs but the pieces that they do carry are classic and stylish....here are a few of my FAVES.

Pillow Obsession

Pillows are the best and quickest ways to change the look and mood of any room. This is not just a design tip it is one of my personal beliefs and obsessions. I have a very large and varied collection of pillows (which continues to grow )  so I can change the look of any room in my home at any given time. I also have a entire board dedicated to Pillows on Pinterest.
